About Me
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I started dancing at the age of seven. I grew up dancing at Center Stage Dance LA and Flintridge Preparatory School. While at these institutions, I trained in many styles, competed, choreographed, and found my knack for teaching and leadership.
I graduated from the University of Oregon in June 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Dance and a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Additionally, I earned a teaching certificate in dance and completed an undergraduate thesis titled Teaching with Artistry and Awareness: Elevating Technique and Wellbeing in Dance Pedagogical Approaches. While at the university, I choreographed three pieces and performed in over ten pieces. Additionally, my passion for teaching and leadership continued to flourish as I served on the Dance Oregon board as secretary for two years and worked as a dance peer advisor for the School of Music and Dance. Outside of school, I taught jazz at Dynamic Dance in Springfield, OR and interned with the Hult Center for the Performing Arts' Community and Creative Learning Department.
Currently, I am a resident artist with Fermata Ballet Collective where I teach classes to the community, choreograph, and perform. Additionally, I am an administrative assistant at the Wildish Community Theater. Looking towards the future, I would love to continue exploring the connections between dance, community, and wellbeing.
Professional Focus
I specialize in teaching and arts administration with a specific focus on wellbeing. Within all my work are the ideas of inclusion, accessibility, and creating a supportive environment. I've found in my experience that prioritizing these concepts allows everyone involved to feel heard and acknowledged. These ideas come from my own dance experiences growing up — both positive and negative. I feel privileged to be able to prioritize and incorporate these ideas into the dance classes I teach, and the work environments I take part in.
